A nerdy videogame designer plans a vow renewal full of Mexican folk art, while embracing an offbeat, unexpected look for the ceremony. Peter brought a grey blazer, black pants, and tennis shoes to life with a vibrant, paisley bow tie and a wild blue, yellow, and red boutonniere, and Zoom Theory Photography captured all of the details. It all works together for his vow renewal with his wife Veronica, but I'll let him to you more about his unexpected style.
from Peter: The look kinda just happened, really. We are that awkward, quirky couple that has a flair of LA hood, craft and arts, geeks and mega nerds. So, these things found a medium. I could not have really made it look as great as it did without the help of others (especially Meredith). I think the one strength I have as a man is knowing the many things I cannot do on my own.more from Peter: I found the bow tie at Nordstrom. I'm a big bow tie guy. It's from the mega nerd culture I come from, and I like to own it. You would be surprised where you could find some really rad ones though. It's like collecting cards and finding the "rare" ones.
Peter's tips: Find your inner geek. It's your day as much as hers. Collaborate to find things that you're both into, and have fun with them. Avoid too much input from friends and family. It only complicates things and makes you second guess.
And, if Peter's offbeat style didn't wow you, check out his second look. A plaid jacket,
Peter's also got some great tips to plan a surprise vow renewal.
Peter: Its a fairly important fact that we have a close relationship with the the gals at zoomtheory and my wife's hair and wardrobe stylist, Danielle June of Madame Pomp. They made the day fantastic, and I think that really came out in our shots.
Thanks for sharing stopping by to drop some vow renewal knowledge, Peter. Congrats to you and Veronica!
