This photographer-turned-groom shares how he fine-tuned his everyday look for his engagement session style with his fiance Jina. Justin submitted pics of his two looks, and you’ll notice, neither one is full of mixed patterns or bold colors. Instead, this shoot is the perfect example of how the proper fit can elevate even the most casual looks. He took his everyday wardrobe of button-ups and jeans, and dressed them up with suit separates. For his first look, Justin broke up his suit by pairing the pants with a casual, cuffed-sleeved button-up and skinny belt. Check it out.
from Justin: I wouldn’t say the outfits I chose to wear for our engagement shoot are typical outfits for me day-to-day, as much as I would like them to be. I work as a video editor and a photographer, so I spend a lot of time in front of a computer. It doesn’t lend itself particularly well to outfits consisting of much more than button up shirt and jean combos.
Check out Justin’s second look, and get more insight into his style choices.
more from Justin: Engagement shoots are typically pretty laid back, so I didn’t want to go full suit and tie and look out of place. I thought it would be better to incorporate some everyday items like the jeans with some more formal items like my suit to match the casual type of shoot and rustic locations I picked.
Thanks for sharing your shoot Justin and Jina! It’s the epitome of an effortless engagement.
