Well-Groomed Engagement: Magenta Man

This groom's got me considering dark pink pants. He pairs them with a gingham shirt and lavender tie, further proving he's not afraid of color. Rolled sleeves keep the whole thing relaxed and ready for a trolley ride through the city.

Well-Groomed Engagement: It's A Mod, Mod World

Rolled cuffs, elbow patches, and florals come together in this woodland photo shoot to create a groom-to-be's mod look. Tons of tall ferns and an old school, yellow Cortina keep the mood Earthy but bright. This is a simple, great concept for an engagement shoot. No props, other than your favorite ride, necessary.

Well-Groomed Groom: City Hall Re-Do

A zebra mask, plaid bow tie, aviators, and slim suit add up to create this groom's monochromatic blue look. This couple held three celebrations, including this styled re-creation of their trip to City Hall. Oh, and if you're new to the blog, you're probably asking yourself what in the world is going on with that mask. Well, as the veteran readers can tell you, weddings like this, this, and this have proven there really isn't an answer to that question.

Well-Groomed Groom: Back to the Future

This groom channels George McFly, in a good way. Small scale gingham, polka dots, and green socks add a punch to a traditional grey suit. And you know I'm going to give him thumbs up for the brown shoes.

Well-Groomed Engagement: Hip Hop Rocker

Red high tops, sagging distressed denim, and a guitar come together to create this guy's downtown look. He even makes head-to-toe denim seem like a good idea. Without ditching the tennis shoes, he cleans up with a newsboy cap, plaid button-down, and deep V-neck sweater.

Well-Groomed Groom: Simply Stated

It's not always about wearing the latest trends and the boldest mix of colors. Often times, style is about the tailored fit of a simple suit. This guy strikes a pose in a neck tie and bow tie. No daring patterns or standout details, just a keen eye on proportion and fit.

Well-Groomed Groom: Proper Man

Every wedding needs a mohawk'd ring bearer, groomsmen sans socks, and tuxedo'd pooch. This groom's wedding has that and more. Throw in a grey suit matched with brown leather, untucked shirts, rolled cuffs, and geeky glasses and you get the full picture. The groom plays it by the book, while the rest of the guys play it fast and loose.

Well-Groomed Groom: Range of Emotion

This groom's feelings are written all over his face as he transitions from preparation to anticipation to contemplation to elation and back again. Side note: I'm kind of on a Jesse Jackson roll here. I wonder how many other "-ation" words I can come up with.

Now, back to business. A traditional charcoal grey suit and black bow tie keep him looking pulled together and in control. A pre-ceremony brew may have helped, too.
